Most Helpful Positive Review Excellent Sight for Budget Price
Superior build quality, exceeding that of the Vortex SPARC and Strikefire II by a large margin. On par - or very near to - the build quality of Aimpoint T1. The green dot is VERY easy to pick up and I like it a lot more than red. Very bright; at low settings the dot is very well defined (even given ...

Most Helpful Negative Review Awesome while it still worked.
Had this for about a year, ran it on a 12.5 ar pistol for a bit, switched it to my 16 middy and noticed recently that the led shuts off randomly when the bolt goes home. Replaced the battery with a brand new lithium and tightened the heck out of the cover, issue persists. Oh well, going in the junk ...

Green dot for bullseye

by Stan, from IL, United States Written on November 25, 2019
The dot works fine. The controls are pretty standard for dots of this design. I am experimenting with a green dot for Bullseye competition. We generally use red dots if we use a dot. So far indoors it works nicely. I get a little tail on the dot because of my astigmatism. So far the dot works fine and in actual use I don't realize its green or red, just using it as the aim point on the target.
Pros:
  • Green
Cons:
  • None
Best Used for:
  • Any where you would use a short range sight.

Great sight for the money.

by John, Verified Owner from MA, United States Written on October 28, 2018
I bought this "Green Dot" to mount on a Ruger MK IV pistol, using the included low mount. It took a little time to sight in. But once I did I was shooting 1/2-3/4 inch groups at 39 feet "rested". Overall I am very happy with the sight. So much so, that I am planning to buy another one in the not so far future to go on a 10/22TD. I do recommend this sight.
Pros:
  • long battery life
  • Price point
  • Love green vs red
  • clarity of the optic
Cons:
  • N/A
Would recommend: Yes

Nice GREEN Dot!

by Tracert, Verified Owner from NJ, United States Written on May 22, 2018
Paid I think $190 (w/$25 promotion) and change for this scope. Delivery was very prompt (<7 days). Has a high mount that is open, so if you have iron sights mounted you can easily see them and use them as a backup if this primary fails. I mounted this on a Ruger PC9 and the stock iron sights with that work very well with this dot. Because of the high mount, might need to compensate for close ranges (<50 yds) because its about 3 in above the bore axis. In that case, you might want to get a low mount. Dot was easy to mount and sight in. Battery compartment is on the side, if not mistaken takes a standard CR2032 battery. Because of the "shake and wake feature", one of the primary reasons I purchased this dot, I don't have to worry about shutting off the battery all the time. if the dot is still for a given amount of time it shuts off automatically. When its moved around the dot comes on. You can manually shut the dot off if you want to put it away for long term storage, by simultaneously pressing both the "+" and "-" buttons for five seconds. Turn back on by pressing and hold "+" button for 3 to 5 seconds. Brightness and contrast is very acceptable in low and bright lighting conditions. Dot seems durable enough for most applications. Downside, the lens caps/covers could be better, would be nice if they were integrated (flip up?), but I can deal. So far accuracy, once sighted in, seems good. Haven't used it extensively, so stay tuned.

So far I am happy with the purchase. Haven't...
