Bought for my wife because she was having issues with the green dot. The gold is great she can see it clearly and it makes s big difference. Mounted on her SP5K-PDW SBR direct on an infitech aimpoint micro mount. 100% co witness.

I'm color blind red green. This sight is gold yellow works great!! See great with it in woods pipeline hunting. Hit paper plate at 100 yards with it .

Great Optic, great price! The dial knob on the side makes changing the brightness fast and intuitive. I prefer the dial to the push buttons if your transitioning form inside a strict to out door or if you want to dial the dot down for a more precise shot. This is the way to go. As with all Holosun products I own solid performance!!

I believe that Holosun holds the sweet spot of decent price for decent quality. The HE403R GD is no exception. The optic is robust and capable of withstanding harsh use. The 2moa dot is really nice for precision and still allows fast target acquisition.

The construction of this sight is great. Seems really well made. There are some YouTube videos that do a torcher test that takes it through its paces. The red dot is spot on and is easy to pick up. The glass is clear and the raised mount makes it easy to co sight with irons( depending on your application).

Thats about where the positives come to an end. The Sight is limited in functionality. No Shake awake or power down when not in use. The turn dial brightness adjuster is useless between the 1-3 and 10-12. Even in complete darkness brightness powers 1-3 are useless. On the bright end power levels 10 -12 create a reflection around the glass illuminating the inside edges of the glass.

Overall, this sight is usable, but for the price it stand behind a few other competing brands. If I were to suggest a sight that is similar in price and just as reliable with more features would be "Primary arms SLx" series of sights.

I purchased this from a skeptical point of view and now I am very glad that I purchased this. This sight is a great option for your ar-15 fits well and is very durable, I also went a ahead and bought the magnifier with this both work amazing with each other, for the price you really can't get a better deal than this one. Would highly highly recommend getting this sight.

Got this for a home defense weapon. I was initially unsure about the Gold Dot retical. Upon receipt of the product, I found it to be easy to install and ready to use. The optic shines more of a neon green with gold tint to it, especially when outside. The color puts no strain on the eye and you easily focus on the target instead of the dot. The shake awake technology DOES work and is an amazing feature for quick deployment from next to the bed or wherever you may be. The consumer should know when I finish writing this review I will be buying another Gold Dot haha.
