So at first I got the older version of this optic. (Non-x2). That was honestly a disappointment. Glass was pretty tinted and there was a pretty bad amount of distortion of the lense around the edges, plus a lot of glue. This version (x2) is way better and certainly worth paying a bit more. I have a ton of optics, including very high-end dots (Eotech, RMR, MRO, Leupold DDP to name a few) and this certainly stacks up next to them and has more features at a much better price point. I think the bad reviews here were either an exception to the X2, or perhaps the person got the older version (non-X2) and put the review here. If you need a closed emitter red dot that is built tough as nails and lightweight, this is one to go with for sure.
