My home LE agency purchased our entire agency new Glock Model 45's and topped them with Holosun HE509T Red Dot Sights. This was some 2-years ago.

I'm a bit set in my ways with 42 years plus of LE experience. With that said, I was very reluctant to transition from steel sights to a red dot. The department required each officer to complete an 8-hour, 900 round count transition course. At the end of the course, I was a believer! I have always been a decent shooter qualifying in the low to mid 90's on steel sights. On the Holosun red dot, oh my goodness, I was shooting high 90's and 100%! I was watching agency mediocre shooters rise up to high 80's and low 90's scores!

Fast forward to today, I am about to age out with my agency and need a high capacity off-duty and armed security firearm. I chose my Glock 19X as the carry gun. I ordered the same red dot, Holosun HE509T, my agency purchased, in flat dark earth to match the 19X frame. Being the slide doesn't have the MOS cut, the slide and new Holosun were shipped to Maple Leaf Firearms in Texas for the cut and mount.

I should have my 19X back in coming weeks and looking for a new / used 19X for high capacity off-duty and armed security carry.

These work great on lever action (Henry & Trappers) using FarrowTech Marlin/Henry Low Profile Red Dot Mounting Plates.

So far so good. Has some options for the dot. clarity was as good as my trijicon rmr.

Purchased for my Glock 45 and it has done a great job performing at the level I initially thought it would. Highly recommend.

I bought this to top off a Beretta 1301 and so far I have had no issues after about 300rds, it has held zero perfectly and haven't had any flickering with recoil. The solar failsafe was also a deciding factor for me in making this purchase over an Aimpoint, but so far I do not regret choosing Holosun at all.

I switched over from the 407k, very noticeable upgrade in sight picture. I like the ease of keeping the enclosed dot clean as well.

The product overall is great. Just wish they would have sent the product with a new set of batteries. The batteries that were included were dead.

I decided to buy the Holosun HE509T because it seemed a good way to have an optic that I didn't have to continuously worry about the mechanics inside the framework. The enclosed system seemed a good idea. I do have it mounted and had no trouble finding the red dot when aiming my CZ. Haven't had a chance to actually shoot with it yet, but it should be very soon. I'm thinking I won't have any problems and the optic will work find.

Not really a holo-sight enthusiast but this thing is really cool. Small, sturdy, and almost never needs the batteries changed thanks to the solar cell.
