Smiling on the inside - Holosun Paralow Circle Dot Sight with Mount

So I haven’t had a chance to mount it on anything yet. But I was looking it over yesterday while unpacking some triggers and stuff I ordered. The packaging is very sturdy and professional. The sight is clean and clear. Don’t know if I need the honeycomb sun shield on the front but I’ll try it. What impressed me the most, as I sat next to the window comparing it to a new FDE Romeo 5, was, with no battery installed I angled the solar panel towards the light of the window and pressed a button. Not actually expecting to see anything. To my surprise, the red circle dot came alive. With no battery installed. I’m impressed. I would have thought you would at a minimum need a battery to complete a circuit. But no. You don’t. So if you have any concerns about a SHTF scenario where batteries are scarce, this circle dot will run on solar power without a battery installed. Obviously with no light it goes off, and the dimmer the light source, the dimmer the circle dot. I am still thrilled to know it can be used if we find ourselves at The End Of The World As We Know It. Plus, I have astigmatism. So plain red dots tend to look like starbursts to me. I really like the EOTECH type circle dot. Give it a try. As long as the sun is up, you can’t miss. But I will be putting batteries in it for the full functionality of the sight.
