Light optic with clear glass. I like the circle dot, circle is nice for fast target transition, dot is small enough for precision shots at distance. Small and light enough to use on a pistol with a non-reciprocating slide, large enought to use on a rifle. I have it on a Ruger mark iv, makes plinking extra fun.

Quality is impressive for the price. Great product. Ability to have solar backup energy is great to run the optic. Brightness levels for all scenarios. Clear lenses. If i had to pick a few to improve. I would get a quick disconnect mount. And if the brightness is too high it gives a halo effect. But overall I would recommend. I am typically an Eotech guy, but would feel just fine with this optic from my experience thus far. We will see how it does long term.

The optic has a lot of light transmission thru the tube and the reticle is prettty clear .line up perfectly with my buis ! Love this optic . It comes with a bikini cover but just make sure you put the battery in the right way. Which is actually upside down since the battery location is on the bottom or it won’t be able to close right ..

I have been wanting to pull the trigger on one of these for years but I fear I did it a few weeks too soon. it seems the most recent offerings with shake awake have just come into my budget range. I love that this model has solar back up but the fact that it is always on drives me nuts! If it went to sleep after some time and shut down I would have confidence that when I pick it up in a year it would still have battery left. This model on circle dot mode has a 10,000 hour battery life expectancy. I have no idea what the LED inside of this unit life expectancy is. It will work great in lighted conditions because of the solar panel but if I pick it up and want to use it in the dark the battery may be dead because it never sleeps which is fine if you remember to change out the battery every year. One other thing that bugs me is the circle reticle had 4 hashes on it at 12, 3, 6, and 9 o'clock position I wish it didn't because mine is off by about 3 or 4 minutes...and I know it doesn't really matter but it drives me crazy anyway. If this model had shake awake it would be the perfect doomsday site and probably never need a new battery.

It seems lately there are so many bad options out there that it has always been a pleasure taking for granted that Optics Planet is a no brainer. Wonderful products, Great customer service. Thanks again!

I did not know if I would like this red dot, But it has turned out to be great. It has manual and auto features, solar powered and battery, you can keep it in auto turn on or off the large circle around the center dot if you want, easy to sight in. co-witness' the iron AR sights like advertised. light weight but built tough. And was at a great price. I will buy another one.

Use this reddot at range and outdoors. Has auto setting to determine what power source to use or you can manually set the intensity.

I have several HS 503's and a 515...you can not beat these for the mony..they work! The circle dot ala e otech style is the absolute best at CQB ranges bar none! I also works if you have slight astigmatisms etc...the circle does not turn nto a cluster ec. In addition, yo can take this abpart to use various combinations of spacers etc to s=adjut the height...I use iton the low mount with a UTG QD lever 5 slot rail, that is about $15.....perfect on and off...no problem!!

My first Holosun sight and I am not disappointed. The red dot and circle dot are clear and just what I wanted. Machining quality is excellent of the body and base. I look forward to putting many rounds down range with this sight in PCC.

Best red dot for the money. Very nice glass, very clear red dot and very light. Excellent battery life , 5 years! You absolutely cannot go wrong on this very nice optic. Great value! I will get another Holosun in the future for my othe AR 15 rifle.
