Nine10's Review of Holosun Paralow HS503C Circle Dot Sight
I purchased this optic several weeks ago, and have it mounted on a 16” Mid-length free floated AR-15. I’ve taken it to the range twice, and dry fire practiced quick target acquisition and snap shots. Total ~400 rounds with the optic attached. One issue I ran into on installation was that the battery tray used two very tiny Phillips head screws, which are very easy to lose and strip very easily. Hex screws would have been a much more practical choice. Overall, I’m quite impressed. The circle dot reticle is quite clear and crisp, I greatly prefer it to a standard dot. Seems to hold up to recoil of 5.56 without issue. The automatic brightness mode only works with the circle dot reticle, which is something that’s not clearly indicated in the description. You can change the RDS between automatic brightness, which is controlled based on how much light the solar panel is picking up, and manual brightness, which runs on battery. Overall, I’m quite impressed, especially for the price. I prefer this to a basic Aimpoint due to the reticle and solar power, which makes it a reasonable emergency situation optic, plus it’s half the price.
