Not the best for carbon removal - Hoppe's 9 Quick Clean Rust and Lead Remover Cleaning Cloth

I ordered both this Hoppe's and the Birchwood Casey brand of the carbon and lead remover as both were recommended in YouTube videos. The Hoppe's hardly removed and of the carbon buildup on the cylinders of my revolver. The Birchwood Casey, however, mase short work of it. I think much of the issue has to do with the cloth material itself. The Hoppe's was very soft while the Birchwood Casey had more of a "scrubbing" cloth feel to it. I'm guessing the Hoppe's is better for sensitive gun finished than the Birchwood Casey.
