I have been using this stuff, with two Hoppe's Boresnakes (.22lr & 9mm), on a .22lr rifle, a couple .22lr pistols, and a couple 9mm pistols for a month or two now. Bottom line first ... I intend to continue using it. I do still clean my guns at home regularly, and they do still need that regular disassemble and detailed cleaning. But, it is during theses detailed cleanings that I can see that this CLP, on the boresnakes, is keeping my barrels noticeably cleaner! And, keeping the barrel cleaner keeps the gun more accurate, longer. Now, the bad news ... you do still need to do the detailed cleanings. All this is doing is cleaning the barrel. You still need to clean all the other nooks and crannies. But, confession here ... I don't do the detailed cleaning every time I shoot anymore. If you don't want to clean all your guns every time you shoot them at the range, but you think you should, this CLP on a boresnake is a good compromise.
