OK once it broke. .
I've owned several others and had no issues but this specific snake lost the plastic piece that joined the small weighted pull line to the cleaning portion. It was difficult to get into the barrel/chamber this way. Once removed it was alright though not as expected. . . works in the field still!

Not my first cleaning snake
I built a 9mm AR so I was in the market for a bore cleaner. I have bore snakes for all my long guns and I didn't hesitate to use Optics Planet and I am very impressed with the bore snake... it's well made and easy to use...

I actually own many of these in different calibers they are quick and easy and do the job. And if the ball isn't totally clean I just run it through again and they're great to bring to the range. And once again great price from opticsplanet and great shipping.

gets the job done
as with most boresnakes its very easy to use and does a good job of cleaning the barrel. The viper has extra brushes than ordinary boresnakes for extra cleaning.It fits a little tight in barrel,but work good so you don't have to disassemble pistol to clean.

Okay I'll admit. I was a little hesitant to purchase this product because I'm old school and believed cleaning involved brushes, patches, cleaning solutions and oils. That's still true but with a few easy passes of this boresnake, your range time can be extended for hours and hours. The boresnake removes a significant amount of residue and fowling to maintain accuracy. It's much simpler than carrying and setting up an array of cleaning supplies to the shooting range.

Very nice product.
does what it is supposed to do, strong, durable and works well. Goes through the bore very stiffly but that's how it should be. The snake is very strong and seems like it will hold up for many years of use.

Fast cleaning
I have used this to clean my bolt gun in the field. Just soak the brass brush in cleaning fluid/oil and oass through the rifle. I do this while holding rifle with sling over my shoulder to keep the cord out of the dirt.

Easy Product To Use
I have had a really easy time using this bore cleaner. I use it for my ruger precision after I take it to the range. It is a lot quicker than using other products. I would recommend this if you don't have a lot of time to clean your rifle. I plan on getting another for my 9mm.

Patch & time saver
Not only does this save me time, it saves me patches. Although it doesn't do away with patches completely, it greatly reduces the number I use when cleaning a gun. I used to go through a lot of patches and its nice that this can be cleaned and used again and again.
