Would highly recommend.
It's great that it doesn't have the sharp of the typical bronze bore brushes do, therefore it is not as uncomfortable when tightening the brush down onto the rod (no wires poking your fingertips). More importantly, the brush cleans the bore well. When using a standard wire brush, Spots that had b...

It works but...
It worked pretty well to brush off debris from my 12G beretta shotgun but brush part came off from the attachment base when I used it for the 2nd time. Maybe I had bad luck or pushed through the barrel too hard but I wasn't expecting this to happen in such a short period of time. I guess I can fix i...

Lives up to the hype
I was skeptical that something as simple as the design of a brush could be improved, but the tornado brush does represent an improvement. By putting more surface area in direct contact with the bore wall, its continuous spiral of edge cleans far more effectively than the individual bristle tips of a conventional brush. Squirt some CLR down your shotgun bore, let it sit for 15 minutes, and then run the tornado through a few times. Finish up with a patch or two to verify that the bore is clean, and you're done.
I also understand now how the chances of a tornado brush scratching a shotgun bore are slim to none; all edges on the brush have a big enough radius that it would be impossible for them to scratch the bore. I am not certain I would use one on a rifled bore, but I'm committed to it for all my smoothbores.

Hoppe's brush
I used this brush on my .45 revolver and noticed a vast improvement in how well the gun barrel & cylinders were cleaned of debris. Seems to be way more cleaning surface over the standard brass bristled brushes which allows for more brush against the surfaces needing to be cleaned. The way this tornado brush is constructed seems to allow it to have a greater durability and I suspect a longer use life. I recommend this product.

Removes light leading
I also have one of these for my 9mm. I shoot lead bullets and occasionally have some lead left in the barrel. These brushes work much better than a standard wire brush to remove the lead. It talkes just a few passes with these brushes. The stainless steel does not scratch the barrel. It also works well for cleaning the chamber because the brush seems to be a bit larger in diameter than a wire brush.
