Most Helpful Positive Review Best bang for buck in 308 win
For a deer round in soft point, buy them and never look back. Accurate and lethal. No need to track deer. Been using for 2 seasons now and haven’t missed yet. Every shot in the vitals and left exit hole. Great job Hornady!

Buyer beware!!!

Don't try to fire this thru your larue 18" upper that you buy from O.P. or anywhere else. The uppers are speced as being caliber 308 Winchester when in fact the caliber is 7.62 NATO which lead me to believe i could buy 308 ammo from them to shoot but luckily I investigated and the 308 pressure could have caused catistrofic injury. I'll have to let them know to change the discription before some one gets hurt and demand a refund even if it's not thier policy its their fault and I'll actually be doing them a favor to inform them of the potential for danger and lawsuits. I'm sure they will hook me up as they are fair and reasonable place to shop.

Effective Ammo

I shoot these in 165gr 308 out of an AR10 for hunting/mid-long range shooting. Considering that I have an 18 inch barrel, I’m happy with my shot groups. Knockdown power on my deer this year was plenty to keep me coming back.

Great Ammo GREAT service

Hornady American Whitetail Ammo is all I shoot. It provides consistent results box after box.Target shooting I get group after group of 1/2 inch at 100 yards. For deer hunting it is awesome. I have never had a deer I shot with this ammo even take a single step. Optics Planet provides GREAT service, fast shipping, and the best prices I can find.

Exactly what I ordered and received them 6 hours earlier than expected and used during that evenings hunt. I harvested 3 sows and 1 boar so far with them . Haven't had a opportunity to harvest a deer with them yet.
