The packaging was great. Nothing moved around in the box,just enough packaging paper and shipping was fast and cheap. The ammo was in great condition. I've used Hornady before but never 44 magnum and its an exclent round. We go camping in the mountains in Colorado a lot so this should be an exclent bear round for protection and for fun.

.44 Mag is not hard to find but it is expensive!

I haven’t fired these rounds just yet. I’m using these in my Taurus Raging Hunter revolver and it is strictly for special use, but target practice. Best price I could find, once again!
Pros:
  • Clean, quality ammo at a good price
Cons:
  • Cost per round is quite high, but not the highest out there.
Best Used for:
  • Soft defense or hunting

I really believe this is the best .44 Magnum load available commercially for my .44 Mag pistols! I have used it for many years, and I have never been disappointed with its terminal performance on game! I would not hesitate to use it on any game on the North American continent! The heavier 240 grain XTP bullet is my favorite, but the 200 grain XTP would be my second choice. This in my opinion is the best factory loaded ammo available.

I have used this product for the last 5 years without any issues, I have also used the Hornady .44 Magnum 200 gr XTP JHP ammunition without equivocation or fear of lethality for hunting purposes! I also used these Hornady bullets for reloading and was impressed with their accuracy and expansion on target. I highly recommend either of these cartridges for hunting or defense in the most perilous of situations! Great product I wish I could afford to buy more!
