Excellent cheap accuracy
This ammo did surprisingly well out of my 18” AR. 1-1.25 Moa at 100 yards. It actually shot better than the SST option in terms of consistency but in terms of impact they were very similar.

Hornady craftsmanship is legendary
For many years, Hornady has produced quality ammo at an affordable price. You can expect minimal mis- fires and an acceptable grouping from 100 yards and well beyond. The grass is high quality and is excellent for reloading enthusiasts.

Hornady Frontier 123gr FMJ 6.5 Grendel ammo
This is dependable quality brass cased ammo, from a quality known ammo company, at a value price. I bought 6 boxes at about $22.00 a box from Optics Planet recently. Shipping was good and timely and free. The ammo is very accurate and gave perfect function in a PSA AR15 with a 18" barrel and rifle length gas system. It shoots to the same point of impact at 50 to 100 yards as Hornady Custom 123gr SST hunting ammo and Hornady Black 123gr ELD match ammo, with very similar tight group. I am getting 1 to 1.75 inch 5-shot groups at 50 to 100 yards consistently with a basic 3-9x40mm scope just rested on a bag. This Frontier ammo is a great value for target practice, varmint hunting, or as a self defense option. I would give the ammo 5 stars, but I have seen it a few bucks cheaper from other vendors, but Optics Planet has always been dependable for me.

Least expensive 6.5 Grendel
I purchased this because it it the least expensive ammo I could find from a trusted manufacturer. I was looking for less expensive, barrel break in ammo and this is that. I have always found Hornady ammunition to be accurate and economical and while I have not shot this yet I do expect that it will perform well.
