Most Helpful Positive Review accurate and easy
I got this to check and fix concentricity of my federal gold medal sierra match 175gr bthp. Great ammo but I was getting fliers. Using this tool I learned that some boxes had all 20 rounds within .001" concentricity and other boxes were off by as much as .007". Both ends of the spectrum were fairly ...

Most Helpful Negative Review Hornady Concentricity Gauge - Following Instructions Produce Meaningless Results
Hornady makes great cartridges, components, and reloading equipment but this device cannot accurately indicate runout when the measurement is taken at the bullet. I got their concentricity gauge because I was intrigued with the bullet straightening feature. When I followed the included instructions ...

concentricity gauge

by J.B., Verified Owner from NC, United States Written on June 30, 2024
This a great product. Hornady offers up quality well made stuff and this is no different. I bought this because I had some ammo that I knew was not centered. It was easy to set up. Took a few cartidges to get the hang of it but was able to center the bullets in the cases. Very handy tool to have if you need a way to recenter your ammo

Hornady Concentricity Gauge

by Summitman, from NE, United States Written on February 20, 2022
This product easily allows me to check the concentricity of my loads as well as correct the aberrancies. It is a well-constructed, solidly build tool that is intuitively easy to use. I use it for both hand loads and factory produced ammunition.

Love my new Lock -N- Load Concentricity Gauge . I also have the conversion to make it check neck wall thickness . Very accurate and easy to use . I seem to be replacing all my tools with red brand and have nothing but good to say. Love being able to correct if a problem is found.

  • great quality

Must Have For Reloaders

by markati, from AK, United States Written on November 22, 2017
Working on my loading bench one day a recently loaded round rolled slowly off my bench. What I observed was how much the newly installed projectile wobbled in the case mouth. This lead me into checking other completed rounds as well. What I found was way too many rounds that were not in-line with the center of the brass case. So off to OP for a remedy. Price is always a factor when looking for reloading items. This Hornady tool and all of the other available tools simular to me are way over priced. However, based on the merit of how well it performed, I give it a 5 star rating. Quick, easy and accurate. I even checked some of my factory loaded rounds. There where many that were out of tolerance.
Pros:
  • Does the job well!
Cons:
  • price

Hornady Lock-N-Load Ammo Concentricity Gauge

by Bad Fred, Verified Owner from CA, United States Written on July 27, 2017
This work very well for me, base is cast iron and tolerances are tight, built heavy duty. I was able to get my rounds under .001" concentric. I would definitely recommend this gauge to anyone looking for top accuracy from their loads.
Pros:
  • None
Cons:
  • A little clumsy installing holding dial back and installing cartrage

improve Accurate

by Dude, from OK, United States Written on March 15, 2017
All these years of reloading, I thought the gun was the problem. HA. With this instrument my accurately improved 100%. Now with it my 2" at 100 yards now is less than 1" on most of my reloads. I should of purchased a lot sooner. I could of saved a lot of money NOT buying GUNS. Keep up the good work. I love it.... Dude
