Hornady Match dies with micrometer adjustment
Hornady match dies come equipped with a micrometer adjustment which is not shown in the Optics Planet web page. the dies are well worth the money. The eliptical expander requires much less force to resize the neck than a standard ball which is also included in the kit. this was my first die with a bushing and it takes some research to determine which and how many to order. Forester supplies three appropriate bushings with their neck bushing dies and Hornady probably should too for the un-initiated. I was reloading for a 6.5 Creedmoor and selected .289, .290 and .291. Two were from RCBS (...

Could be 5 stars
Received the item and jumped back into reloading as I was without anything when my Lee full length had a casing stuck in it. I looked over the instructions, I use that term loosely, as for a novice like me they were not very complete like what I received from Lee. I loaded 60 rounds and broke all 3 decapping pins because the retaining nut kept coming loose. I contacted Hornady about the issue and the solution was to add a small bit of lock tight to the threads. So far this has worked very well. I am using a SAC bushing die in my resizing die.
Pros:
- Ease of use
- Reliability and ease of use
- Quality Price Appearance Design
Cons:
- Needing lock tight

I love these reloading dies
The best thing about the Hornady dies is they really seat the bullets well and rarely if ever do you have a bullet out of center. the match grade dies do an excellent job of seating with the sliding collar. Note you will need to purchase a separate die for proper resizing. There is ample information online to assist with measuring to select the correct bushing for your brass (each brand may be different). Also there are plenty of threads on forums from reloaders stating what bushing they consistently use with a particular brand of brass.
Pros:
- Quality
Cons:
- None

- Reloading
