Most Helpful Positive Review Hornady Match Grade Bushing

These bushings used in a Hornady Match Grade Bushing die appropriately and consistently resize my .308 bolt gun brass necks. I find that Lapua brass tends to "spring back" approximately 0.002" so a .034 bushing will yield a finished outside neck diameter of approximately .036. Other brass may be more/less elastic. The bushings are now offered in more sizes than previously available.

bought this in size .251" for my match grade die which is .22 caliber size. Unfortunately, The guidance for selecting the correct size needed is of very little help and could stand substantial improvement. This particular bushing does not even size the casing neck to the point where a bullet being loaded will stick in the neck. Since returning for a full refund isn't an option, it will probably wind up on Ebay for pennies on the dollar. :-(

Works as advertised. Unless you neck turn your brass, you may need the size above and below. Measure brass before ordering.

I am gathering supplies to reload 308. Optics Planet has great selection to chooes from. Bushings come professionally packaged and are of great quality. You should buy bushings one size bigger and one size smaller than calculated

ordered three bushings in .002 increments and all of them sized the neck to the correct size. fit in dies and produced correct neck tension. best group ever, .280. not sure if neck sizing is the way to go though.

This works great for my 300 win mag brass. I have put a couple hundred rounds through this already and still achieve the same results. The only thing I would consider is the neck likes to springs back .001 so a .001 smaller bushing is a thing to consider for the desired neck tension.
