Great, but with one major reservation
I bought the Hornady Rapid Safe Shotgun Wall Lock to hold my Mossberg 20-gauge Shockwave against a closet wall. The Shockwave fits nicely into the secured safe. secure shotgun rack
Was not clear when ordering with a shockwave would fit… it does not. So I was disappointed
However did get it to work, just not as well as I would have liked.
Needs to be more clear on what and what not will work with this system
Good safe but not for optics
I bought this Hornady shotgun lock for my Mossberg 590S Optics Ready shotgun. The gun has an optics ready cut and I added a small Holosun green dot sight. I contacted Hornady support before ordering the safe and asked if my gun would fit. The answer was that they would not say whether it would fit or not but that many guns with optics did fit. Well, I doubt that. When I got the safe it was obvious that it would not fit the gun with the optics mounted and I doubt that many optics would fit. It seems like a great lock for shotguns without any sight mounted on top of the receiver. It's well made and seems strong.

Hornady Rapid Safe - Shotgun
The product came as described on the website. The box was sealed and never opened. All parts were included in the box as listed on the instructions. Install was easy and the product worked with all of the devices provided, RFID tags, keys, programmable code. Great device to secure the shotgun and keep in low key location. Able to use with batteries or AC current. I am using the battery option considering my device location.

Very well made but does not fit Kel-tec KS7
I went to Hornady web and Optics planet and could not find sizes of mechanism to see if it would fit my shotgun. I have another rfid Hornady safe and love it, but this does not fit my gun. Please put measurements on the web so we can be informed consumers and not have to return items.

Best quick shotgun safe
The Hornady RAPID safe is an awesome wall mounted quick release shotgun safe. It's easy to mount and program. Opens with included RFID tags in less than a second, for instant access. A must have for home defense!

update on my previous post
Just wanted to let prospective customers know that I added the Crimson Trace Green Saddle Laser to my Mossberg Shockwave 20 gauge. I was afraid I was going to have to Dremel grind the openings of the safe to make it wider, but I was able to fit the shotgun with saddle laser into the Hornady safe with no problem!

Perfect solution
Wanted to securely hide a Benelli Supernova behind clothes in our master closet and this was the perfect way to do that. You don’t even know it’s there and it’s extremely accessible. Very comfortable storing a loaded shotgun with kids in the house.

Awesome application
Great idea, mounded right next to my couch on the wall ready for unexpected guests easy to install, easy to use and most of all peace of mind when the grand kids are here! The only thing negative is there's only 2 mounting holes I added 2 more. ��������������
