Der Biermeister's Review of Hornady Rapid Vehicle Safe
Mixed review on this vehicle safe. I give it 5 stars for quality of construction (built like a tank) and RFID security. Especially with the fact that Hornady supplies several different RFID devices. (one key fob, one wrist band, two circular adhesive decals, and if RFID fails, they give you two Barrel keys)
For vehicle security, I give it two stars. First -- this will definitely prevent a thief who is in a hurry from walking away with your gun. However, if the thief has a bit of time, and especially if he has knowledge of this device and its design, then brother you wasted your money, because all he needs (after releasing the air in the bladder) is one medium Philips head screw driver, to unscrew five screws and he walks away with your gun still in the safe.
