A good manual however, for Australian buyers, it doesn’t include any details of ADI powders, which are about the only powders available down under with any reliability.

This is one of the best Hand loading books available. Has helpful information for the novice loader and the pro. Contains data on some of the latest bullets. And as usual you can get if from Optics Planet at a good price. Even if you don't reload you can find helpful ballistic information.

Hornady Reloading Handbook is excellent it has a wide array of loads for 5.56 and 7.62 X 51! The book was in stock and shipped quickly and I received it undamaged. However, I also ordered the Lee Reloading Handbook with this order and I received it damaged, the binding was tore. I returned the Lee book to Optics Planet for an undamaged replacement, which was shipped quickly. Optics Planet's shipping department needs to do a better job packing / protecting the contents in the box.

Hornady makes great ammo and also puts out some great information but i recently bought a Savage 338 Lapua mag. The blogs I've been reading on line say it shoots best with a 300 grain bullet but my old 7th edition Hornady book only showed loads for up to 250 grains so I ordered this new 9th edition Hornady book. To my surprise and disappointment the heaviest load in the book for my 338 LM is only 285 grains. So Close but no cigar.

Great resource, easy to understand, it will be used with other reloading guides as a reference for ensuring proper reloads. Very comprehensive reloading book and lots of recipes. This Manual the is produced and up-dated yearly, is one book I continue to purchase when released. It always has the best reloading data, and give clear and concise data for the reloader. Simply the standard for all else to follow.

I am just getting into loading and it is just what I needed. I appreciate the history of how Hornady got started and his attention to detail. It has everything I need for each caliber and particular bullets I shoot.

my reloading manuals were quite old and in need of updating. nice to see many of the newer powders listed. an extremely valuable tool for those who like to reload. I purchased a nosler manual as well and my purchase one other as a cross reference. its always a good idea to have multipal sources of information and different bullet designs to choose from.

I am new to hand loading. I purchased the Hornady Handbook 9th Edition in addition to the Speer and Lyman handbooks. Although it listed only Hornady bullets, it provides lots of important information, techniques for safe and accurate hand loading. It also includes a wide range of powders and load data so I can cross check and compare with other hand books.
Pros: Valuable information on safe handloading and extensive data

I bought this book to accompany my Lyman reloading manual,in order to have another resource for building up hand loads specific to Hornady bullets. It did the trick.
Pros: very informative
Cons: none
