So the function of this product is ok. I have extended releases on my g17,20,23,and 19. All of which i prefer because they etend much further than this one from hyve. Maybe because its a single stack and slim it would catch on things if it were sticking out further. I have rather large hands and its just awkward for me to operate. In fact i need to either use both hands or severely manipulate my grip to operate it. Also, the color copper should be called orange. Its nothing close to copper. I a cobalt lower and pvd copper coated barrel that looks great. Now however this "copper" release looks tacky. If you sticl with Hyves accessories on the same firearm it shouldnt ve an issue. Just know that it's orange not copper.

Doesn't Fit MY G43x
I received my HYVE Tech G43 Extended mag release today and was very disappointed. Once I got it installed in my G43X the first thing I noticed was that it more recessed into the frame than the factory mag release. I then found that the magazines would not seat as the release was too narrow inside the frame. After removing the new mag release I checked against it the out side of the magazine and found that it was narrower then the magazine body. So the one I received was obviously for a narrower frame and magazine like a G42. This may be a mistake by the manufacturer mislabeling the item, but the bottom line is I'm out $25 and still stuck with the OEM release.

installed easily...much easier to release a mag!
black "finish" very thin, probably just satin black paint (?). the raised bumps on the raised press/release side are great for non-slip contact but the black finish started wearing off at the lower front corner bumps after just a few insertions into my IWB leather holster. Hit all the bumps with a fine diamond file so now have silver bumps on a black release...actually looks great!
Bottom latch corner (inside the well) of the release needed to be softened/rounded off as most mags were getting hung-up when inserted...now works fine. Would not hesitate to buy HYVE products in the future.

This mag release works great on such a small gun because it is squared off and sticks out just a tad more so your thumb can engage it easily. I had tried another brand extended release but it was rounded off and therefore did not have as much area for the thumb to press on.

The only extension for the G43
I’ve bought two other extended magazine releases for the G43, but didn’t like either of them. I was hesitant on the HYVE magazine release, but it works great! It actually feels like an extension. This is a must buy for the G43!
