Given that there is no longer spring that comes with the base I seemed to have gained one extra round in the magazine with this base. Installation was not easy, but is doable. Hence my rating of 4 stars not five.

Very well constructed and manufactured accessory. Fitment is perfect, the added weight is a bonus to help your mag drop. Highly recommended.

This is my second HYVE +1 for Glock 43 and I have a +3 and I bought all of them from Optics Planet and they all perform without issue every time at the range. Always a great price from Optics Planet with quick shipping.

Great +1 magazine extension for a Glock 43. Only a 1/4 inch longer than a standard Glock 43 mag and gives a better grip on the gun. Made of high quality aluminum. Easy installation, I would watch a YouTube video before trying. It is a little different than a standard black magazine.

Initial thoughts were it looks great. Little splash of color and two extra rounds, just what the doctor ordered. Start installing the baseplate and it is a booger to install you have to modify your magazine and red flags started going up. What if it doesn't work or I don't like it am I going to have to buy another mag? I kept going like a fool. Once installed the mag would hold 7 just fine the 8th round, would go in but the spring would get stuck and once the 8th round wad chambered the mag was useless because it would not push the remaining 7 rounds upwards. The baseplate was not perfectly sized for the 43 and I could move it forward and back with little effort once "locked in". Uninstalling was no cake walk either the tab that locks the mag in place doesn't move so you have to force it off and I am by no means a body builder but I am a 200 lbs mechanic and it took everything I had to force it over the lock. I put the factory base plate back on and it holds only because of the lock in the base. The locking tabs of the mag were required to be removed via instructions. But it works. Still got another mag and installed a vickers +2 base plate. Give that one 4 stars and highly recommend. Took a star off because it doesn't look as good but it is easy to install and locks in nice works flawlessly and gives better grip contact. Long story short I don't know if I got a dud or they are just not very good but this product made a very reliable gun worthless after one shot. Don't waste ...

I bought 3 mag extensions for the Glock 43. All of them +3 extensions. One of them holds 9 rounds, the other two hold 7 rounds. They're all identical so that means Ive done something wrong on two of them. It's possible that the springs are bound up inside. If I figure it out, I'll post back up.

promag magazine needed a bit of file work to the bottom flange to slide into the +3 HYVE base but base locked on nicely. Dark red color looks great and extension base adds good heft and grip area to my G43. My 80 year-old in-law loved it and wants me to do the same with one of his S&W MP shield magazines.

Fits good, works solid. Haven’t had any issues. Matches shape of grip perfectly. Don’t have any complaints as of yet but I will let you know if I do Or you let me know if you do, sure

Hyve Plus 1, 2, or 3 bases are excellent for a Glock factory magazines. The 4 Star rating is only due to color, which is irrelevant physically but the color should be fairly close to the advertised color. The dark Grey comes in light silver, not a deal breaker, but I would not buy the silver color again, because I wanted grey. That said, a 5 star plus for these bases, easy to install and even better in use. The real baby Glock 42 in 380
has a Green plus two that significantly improves the grip for medium to large hands and functions perfectly. Color on green base is great.
I personally don’t care for aftermarket triggers, HOWEVER, the Hyve aluminum Glock triggers are relatively inexpensive, adjustable, much more comfortable than factory triggers, and smooth. They don’t drastically change the trigger, but they do smooth out the pull and improve the overall feel. Highly recommend plus 1,2, and 3 bases . Hyve adjustable triggers for Glocks are the bomb!

I really like the fit and finish of the Hyve Magazine Extension. I really haven’t been able to load the magazine to the full capacity as advertised, normally one or two rounds short fit the best. You do have to trim the tabs on the Glock Mag before putting the extender on the OEM mag. I found it as easy as using a sharp knife. Once the tabs are removed, it slides right on.
