Poor machining on critical part - HYVE Technologies M&P Shield 9mm/ .40 Cal Extended Magazine Release

Got my extended mag release for my S&W M&P 9mm Shield along with a slide stop and some magazine base plates. Upon installing the new mag release I found I had to literally SLAM the mag in place just to get it to hold and then found I could only get the mag released by laying the firearm on a table top and pressing down on the release with both thumbs. (Was worried I'd never get the mag out!!)

Turns out the machining on the stainless steel pin that sits in the notch in the magazine was terrible. Looked more like it had been cut by dull tin snips leaving a raised and jagged edge where the pin meets notch in the mag making things stick.

Had to spend a good deal of time filing then polishing with emery cloth before I could achieve a reasonable insert/release function on the mag.

Cool looking parts but quality control on critical machining needs works.
