Will this fit the Shield Plus 9mm? Expert Answer

The HYVE Technologies M&P Shield 9mm/ .40 Cal Extended Magazine Release will only fit the S&W shield 9mm and .40. It is not compatible with the shield plus as the shield plus uses different dimensions for the mag release.

My thumb doesn’t seem to bend right for most mag releases. This one fits great. Easy to install. I used a plastic straw( not in California) to lift the spring clear to slide the old release out and the new Hyve unit in.

Easy to install. Looks Great. Extension has nice texture & makes it easier to release without getting in the way. Seams like magazines have a more positive engagement in the pistol but does require slightly more effort to lock it in.
