I purchased two of the Growler Deluxe kits for ice fishing in northern Minnesota. Love the canvas storage and the Growler. Plus the fact that everything is stored together when not in use. It all fits easily in my OTTER pull behind along with my Buddy Heater and other fishing gear. The storage bags prevents snow from getting to the connection ports on the Growler and hose, a really nice feature. The 5 pound Growler is perfect for about 12 hours of heat from my heater on medium. Plus it eliminates carrying several 1 pound cans. Tthe system weighs about 16.5 pounds when full. The 4 foot hose is adequate for my use. On my first use in the cold (around 0 degrees F) the hose was extremely stiff. It was difficult to uncoil and connect to the heater. On subsequent, trips I found that the heat from my bare hands helped uncoil the stiff hose. Once nearly straight it was easier to make the connection to the heater. Connection to the tank was easier, also. I have had plyability issues with other manufacturers hoses, but, Ignik's was the stiffest by far. Once straightened and in use it performed fine. Coiling it back up to fit on top of the Growler was, also, a challenge. Overall, I am pleased with my purchase. For the price, I was dis satisfied with the hose material performance. I do recommend this product because it fills a nitch that has been overlooked by every other heater manufacture. I'd bet they solve the hose stiffness issue, soon, as well.

I haven't yet used this hose/adaptor, but it appears it may be able to be able to fill from a large five gallon bottle to smaller appliance bottles. Also directly into appliances that take the smaller bottles. I have one of those Coleman tree type distributors that fits on top of a five gallon bottle where I have a propane double mantle light. An outlet with a hose feeds a Mr. Heater, and now with this addional hose I can add a portable gas stove and run all off of one five gallon bottle. A neat set up for a power outage or a camping trip!
