I put this on a suppressed ruger mk iv. Absolutely awesome, it’s the size of a red dot with an under active thyroid so nothing crazy. They do make a larger lense (double the price) size but unless you’re planning on stretching it out on a rifle stay with the 13. At pistol ranges the clarity is the same. I do have a little difficulty getting it to zoom but that’s because of my hot dog fingers and a 1 inch screen. Which is more than adequate for a pistol sight. If you’ve never used a thermal before you aren’t looking THROUGH the site like a traditional red dot. Think of it more like watching tv. Besides its dark and you can’t see anything anyway so when you do go to use it you’ll catch on quick. Also! These are not rechargeable batteries. They last a good while but if you get one swing by the gas station and pick up an extra pack. Eventually you’ll need them anyway. You will also need to get the correct mount. I used the piccatinny low mount on my 22/45 and it is perfect.
