Aaron from San Diego's Review of INFORCE Multifunction Weapon Mounted White/IR Light

Four stars because it functions well, is extremely simple, requires a small footprint and is competitively priced with much more expensive yet similarly capable options.

Dinged a star because my model can be wiggled on my 1913 rail section forward and back just a tad, which is a smidgeon annoying but not a show stopper.

This is a standard issue light for my unit as an elective option over the Elite Tactical light which is included in our SOPMOD MK18 URG kits. While the Elite is fine, it is large, heavier, requires a larger footprint on a 10.3” upper and is susceptible to lens impact (these break all the time!).

The Inforce is 1/3 the price, bolts on/off a 1913 section in seconds, takes a beating, provides ample light for CQC or short distance rural ops and is extremely easy to active with a 45 degree offset mount via the light pressure press and at the end. I prefer the angled press pad over a surefire style push button which is a 90 degree face - the angle approach is much more ergonomic for rail section grips.

Additionally, this has a block bar to swipe over to prevent light ND’s which is simple to find and redeploy.

When I first was issued this light I was skeptical that it was cheap and inferior but I assure you the polymer construction is not a compromise but a weight saver and just as durable. This has seen duty on a suppressed MK18, lantac dragon brake setup parallel to the light for 1000 rounds, as well as a standard bird cage parallel to the light and no shock/damage has impeded the light’s ability to function.

For 1/3 the price of larger yet similarly capable models I highly recommend this model to be used in conunction with a Thorntail offset mount. THere are no press pads to fail, no awkward 90 degree push button, just a simple well laid out press and and light stream.

Good luck.
