I went from an Otter-Box to this cell-phone case. It does what it's supposed to do. It's sturdy for what it is, and looks unique. There's really no comparison to it and what I previously had, but I decided to get something a bit slimmer for putting into my pocket. The wide rubber-band that prevents the visor-lid from contacting the actual chassis of the case will eventually wear out, but I assume replacing it with thin rubber adhesive stops like used for drawers on a desk would be a more functional alternative. Also, included is a clear cover for the face of the phone. Definitely use that. And, securing the phone into the chassis is a bit on the silly-side. If you look at the pictures, there are dark plastic tubes that connect the top portion of the case to the bottom. There are a few extra pieces of these plastic tubes in a plastic bag with screws - and the smallest allen-wrench or star-bit wrench I've ever seen. After your phone is slid into the case, you wedge one of these plastic tubes (perfectly) to line up with a single hole on the back top corner of the case. You secure the tube with one of these tiny screws using the wrench. Only one side of the pone has a hole for it, so that seemed a bit less-secure, but the tube is so wedged in there that I doubt it would accidently fall out... unless you felt the urge to throw your phone at a wall or the ground.
Overall, I'm pleased with the case. There's nothing that necessarily makes it "better" than anything else ...
