After a few wears the zipper on both boots ripped out. Definitely not Irish setter quality. Boots fit tight around ankle and were hard to put on and take off. I would not recommend these boots.....................................................:::::::.:::,,,,,,.,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,................................................

1st off. I've tried two 17 inch VaprTreks and they are not waterproof by any stretch of the imagination. The sole is not durable and the inner lining by the heel is also not durable. I recommend replacing the inner sole with a Dr Dr Scholl's type sole. if your achilles heel area feels pressed making it difficult to walk, I suggest to return the boots to avoid medical expenses. The boots will last for about a year if you use them once a weekend and they get very sweaty also.
With the negative aspects of this boot, once you break them in they do fit well and are comfortable. I've tried a few other brands and these VaprTreks are not bad. They are simply not waterproof.
Pros:
- Light, comfortable fit
- 17 inch tall boot
Cons:
- not water proof
- Not durable sole
- Not durable heel inner lining
