Great item
These scope mounts fit great on my Marlin 336 and was easy to install. It works good allowing me to see my iron sites with the scope mounted which will be handy when hunting closer targets. If something is to close to use my scope then I can always use the iron sights without removing anything.

Marlin 336 Look-Thru scope mount
This product mounted perfectly to the rifle and with a 30mm scope would work perfectly. With the 40mm scope I bought for my wife's gun it performs fine as a scope mount but you are unable to look thru the mount to use the iron sites. Further more if the scope had been just a little larger i.e.44mm there would have been an interference problem with the rear iron sight.
