great see-thru for a Ruger 10-22.
I bought it for my 10/22 takedown and it was just too tall for the carry bag with a Nikon rimfire scope mounted. Not the mount's fault as it is a well made and designed specifically for a 10/22. It is a direct mount to the top of rifle using the included screws. It is a great mount height for the scope and the sights are easily seen in the see-thru.
For the Ruger 10/22 Take Down Model I recommend the Burris PEPR quick removal scope base and the Archangel 10/22 rail mount as the Ruger mount does not have a Weaver rail pattern. It fits perfectly in the takedown bag next to the barrel compartment.
