Although they will protect your hearing, they don't work for hearing while they are in. Too much back round is magnified and it doesn't maintain consistency. Regular old wax or rubber twist in hearing protection wouldn't be much worse. I do not recommend these.

These were given as a gift for my purchase of an optic. I can see why they gave them away.
