I thought by dual function, and since they used the word infrared, that it would be both white and IR... nope.. dual function means steady white, or flashing white. There is no IR.. When they say it can be seen by night vision that's because white light can be seen by night vision.. a little tricky in the advertising there eh?

But, all is not lost, we have to have a continuous white light while hunting at night, and this should fit the bill with a little duct tape to tame the brightness.. little expensive at $20, but not worth the trouble to send it back and search for something else.

Also, it came in a plastic bag with the name/model written in Sharpie.. guess it was a return from someone else that realized they should have done more research on this before buying it.. And guess what.. no instructions either... I played with it and found out that to switch from strobe to steady you invert the battery.. clever...

Uh, that's all I have to say about this...
