Product was good, but was sent the wrong screw for installation. There was a set screw. Not a headed screw in the package.

It's aluminum and feels nice, but I'm not sure how this is supposed to be used, since milspec trigger guards are made to open up and exposed to trigger for if you're wearing gloves, and they pivot on the roll pin, but once you install the roll pin in this trigger guard, The other side of it is held in place by a set screw, if you screw that set screw in all the way it goes too deep and doesn't hold the trigger guard up, but if you screw it out enough to contact the receiver this set screws only being held in by a few threads and if you were to take that set screw in or out to fold the trigger guard down, the weird shape of it only allows it to tilt down a few degrees and not actually enough to get your finger in there with some gloves.

So dont buy this if you want a trigger guard to open up like milspec, but if you want a cheap guard that hopefully will stay in place, give this one a try, If you plan to run your gun hard I would definitely replace the set screw it comes with with a longer one, like .25" long

This JE machine trigger guard was super easy to install took me roughly 10 minutes to do. Also the build quality is very tough when using. Only drawback is that it can't drop down like mil spec guards to accommodate thick gloves although if you have a lighter trigger you won't need it to.

Super easy to install and secure (roll pin and screw). It gives you a more comfortable and natural feeling grip over the standard straight edge OEM guard. Having managed to mangle a polymer guard (I don’t know how it happened), the steel construction feels a lot sturdier. Very affordable to boot. If you’re not wanting a featherweight AR build, I highly recommend this item.
