Do not buy at full price

It's fine as an upper. I ended up paying around $600 with coupon code. I would say that's a good price for this upper. I have about 500 rounds through it at the time of this review. I went with this company because they are based close to where I live and have an interesting story. I had an order in for their double stack 1911, but this upper made me go a different route for a pistol. The craftsmanship is definitely lacking. The upper reminds me of when I build a lower with random leftover parts from other projects. Nothing fits together purposefully, like it is a spare parts build. Likely the the most annoying thing is the product does not match the pictures. The aggressive brake/comp sits just inside the rail. Keep that in mind if putting a weapon light on the end of the rail, you will get carbon dumping on the lens. Nothing that chap stick doesn't somewhat help, but still annoying. Shot groups are decent. I have uppers that shoot lights out and 1 that shoots worse than this one. Not to say it is unusable, but just know this may not satisfy your tack driving dreams. Seems logical that these uppers have been discontinued.
Pros:
  • Cheap when I bought it.
Cons:
  • Parts do not fit together well
Best Used for:
  • recreational
