So, to start, I cannot speak to how this handguard fits on a standard Saiga shotgun. My Saiga Shotgun is the LE model. It features a factory folding stock that locks into the side of the receiver with a spring mechanism. The factory handguard has a hole in it that retains the spring for the stock lock. This hand guard does not. So, I drilled an appropriate size hole for the spring. Then I had to remove material around the rear of the hand guard to resize the tab that nests inside the receiver. Once I had completed these modifications, I went to put the factory screw in to secure the hand guard and discovered that the hole in the hand guard for the screw was much too deep to allow the short factory screw to engage the hole in the gas block. I had to countersink the hole deep enough for the screw to thread in. Once that was accomplished, I had a small amount of material on one spot to remove for the hand guard to lay flush against the barrel. I would not recommend any of this modification if you are not experienced in this type of work and do not have the proper tools to accomplish it. The hand guard itself appears to be well built. Only time will tell how it will hold up.
