Excellent fit and finish and looks better than the Midwest industries counterpart.

Very tight fit, and it takes a little work to get the pins back in, but once they're in you're good!

Mine took a small rubber mallet to unlock with brace attached. (I have above average grip strength btw.) What you need to do is take some abrasive paste and coat the hinge wear surfaces. ( I used dremel orange/red polish wheel paste and added some gun lube to thin it slightly)Pay attention to not only the hook but also the flat surfaces that lock up. Once coated hit with rubber mallet several times on spring hinge to simulate opening/closing. You might need to recoat it periodically as it will move off friction surfaces.This will wear a pattern in without removing too much material. It will look bare and polished in wear areas when done. What I think is the ultimate issue is that there is tolerance stacking from the anodized coating on both closing surfaces. I can now open it with ease and it is 100% solid. This is the absolute best way to manage this issue. JMAC is not estimating the extra thickness added from anodized coatings and this is why there is a lockup problem so many have. In addition there is also a pattern from the CNC cutting of the part that could also be contributing to the friction in these areas. Hope this helps.

Would not fit a genuine, euro-imported H&K SP5K.

Adapters from B&T and CNC Warrior line up just fine, but the holes on this adapter were completely misaligned (literally half a pin-width off).

Contacted JMac and they said some fitment is required, i.e. break out a drill.

Requested a return as the part was clearly defective given the product description.

They refused the full refund and attempted to enforced the 20% restocking fee. But I disputed the charge and won.

(Stay away from this company or at least buy through a reseller like Optics Planet to avoid the inevitable restocking fee.)

FYI, they don't even list this part on their site anymore. It's that bad.

Works great on the AP5-P. Nice finish and the receiver holes line up perfect.

Holes did not line up for installation on Zenith ZF5k.

Great product and very solid, just had a little bit of work to get it into place on a Century Arms AP5 but once installed it is set in place and won't budge. If you want something thats cheap and works well then this is it.

This is just what I needed for my mp5 to run different folders. Did not dissapoint

Looks nice but the holes need to be adjusted. I have an hk sp5k and not a clone. The Holes did not line up. I had to grind the holes to make it fit. I should not have to do additional work to make it fit for a quality product. Don't buy if u don't have a dremel or plan on making adjustments.
