I always wanted a JP Enterprises Gen 2 Silent Captured Buffer Spring System and let me tell you it was worth it. The sound reduction is great, most will say you don’t hear much of a difference but when your shooting suppressed it is noticeable. Also the recoil reduction in my ar10 is very noticeable.

Best buffer spring on the market. Quite, less recoil, perfect for can.

I was so tired of the spring noise I finally broke down and bought one of these. Put it in and a couple days later went shooting. After about 50 rounds my wife asked me how I liked the new part. Lol I forgot all about it! I had to take my earplug out to listen for it. Best upgrade ever! I’ll put one of these in every ar from now on.

Just as advertised, smooth as silk. Very quiet, removes the buffer spring rattle all together. The different spring tensions are a nice touch to tune your rifle. Will be getting another one for my other rifle.

It works well with my juggernaut jte 15 , smoother , silent , good quality, looks durable. It functions the way its supposed to be. Pricey but worth it .

This product is great. The price of these at Optics planet are pretty good. I bought 3 of them.

The best you can get. They are pricy but I have them in all my ars. It helps a ton with suppeson.

This isn't a "necessary" product, but I'm very happy with the JP Buffer System. Depending on your use case, I believe the JP Buffer System can be an excellent upgrade. I see two groups that would benefit from upgrading to a JP Buffer:

1. High Volume Shooters: The JP Buffer System improves the recoil impulse of the rifle; even with the already light recoil of the AR platform it's easier to rapidly put rounds on target. The cycling of my AR rifles just feels better with the JP Buffer installed. If you're consistently hitting the range or doing competition shooting you'd likely notice a benefit.

2. Subsonic/Suppressed 300BLK: This is where I think the JP Buffer System really shines. I don't notice the "twang" of a traditional buffer/spring when shooting supersonic .223/5.56, but it becomes very noticeable when shooting subsonic suppressed 300BLK. In addition to the improved recoil impulse, this greatly reduces the sound heard at the ear from a traditional buffer/spring - it makes shooting subsonic/suppressed 300BLK even more enjoyable. This is a no-brainer upgrade for those of you shooting 300BLK. I'll be installing this buffer in all of my 300BLK AR rifles.

Installation: Installing the JP Buffer took all of 2 minutes. JP recommends removing the buffer retaining spring for easy removal, maintenance, and reinstallation. The JP Enterprises Gen 2 Silent Captured Buffer Spring System is smooth as silk and quiet as a whisper, but recoil mitigation is only partially effective. I was hoping for more.

One of my favorite upgrades for my AR. The difference was noticeable right away. The action feels much smoother, the spring twang is gone, and the rifle just feels more refined overall. It's not cheap, but the quality is outstanding and it was worth it for me. Highly recommended!
