perfect for a. A5 tube.
I have a darkest hour tube with a jp silent buffer system a d this spacer, with the addition of a quarter worked great. I guess its pricey for what it is, since i could have just cut a standard spacer down but i thiught i would give this a try. Great for convenience, but not completely necessary.

Necessary for A5 tubes
It fits, it works, not much to this piece, just a spacer. Using VLTOR A5 tubes I still need an additional spacer along with this to get the right tension to eliminate the gap between the BCG and the SCS, if this was .0625-.125" longer it would be ideal. If I had access to a lathe I'd turn down the rifle length one included with the SCS into 3 of these.

Works for what I needed it for.
Bought this for a .450 bushmaster project was workin on and works great. Decided on using standard ar10 buffer and spring in an a1tube,as with the muzzlebrake I used the recoil impulse was right around .308 level so used this spacer behind the spring to prevent overtravel from the different cartridge lengths
Pros:
- Fit without modification.
Cons:
- Price is high for a small chunk of plastic
Would recommend: Yes
Perfect Fit on Savage MRS
I got a JP Silent Capture Spring for my Savage MRS Long Range. The factory buffer spring worked ok, but made a lot of noise and I was looking for a better solution. The JP SCS seemed like it might be a good answer. I thought I got the right size, but was not sure. Nowhere did I find info about installing the Silent Capture Spring on my MRS.
When I installed the SCS, it was loose and did not seem to fit properly.. I was confused. I found out that the Savage MRS had an A5 length buffer tube and I needed this spacer... Got it .. drops in easily. Now the Silent Capture Spring fits my MRS perfectly!
