When you don't want to run the compensator, but still want to get dirty.
Threads on perfectly to my HBAR .223 profile barrel, easy to put on easy to take off. Matches up perfectly to my barrel, makes it look almost like a postban. It threads on almost perfectly flush with the muzzle with a nice matte black finish.

Tread Protector for AR barrel
This thread protector is all that you would expect. Good quality machining. I use it when I am working on my ar and dont have a flash suppressor on it. Easy to tighten and loosen without tools just using my fingers

Works as Expected.
Thread protector works as expected with a good price. Fits my AR barrel and keeps the threads protected till I buy my flash suppressor and finish my upper. I tried the plastic caps that most commonly come with new barrels, but I wanted something more substantial that could be left on. I can slide my gas block, barrel nut and anything else over the muzzle with is on.
