When you add up the prices of the handguard, extension, and rails, this is not an inexpensive option. But if you can afford it this set-up allows you to mount items such as a light, bipod, sling mount, etc. while retaining the full handgrip space.

If you use it with a gas block that clamps to the barrel with horizontal allen screws across the bottom you will have to modify the extension to clear the gas block clamping screw lugs.
Pros: Add accessories without sacrificing handgrip area
Cons: Requires modification with non-OEM gas blocks
