Sharp straight out of box, shaving sharp. For me great ergonomics,shape and size for my purpose. Bushcraft, camping, hiking, will serve well as small machete. Have not yet tried batoning with it yet but will soon. Great purchase.
Pros:

Black finish will eventually wear
