I recently purchased this from OP on a great sale price. With any Kahles product, I had high expectations. This scope is intended to act as an upgrade over the Zeiss HD5. At double the retail cost, I was hoping for a noticeable difference in FOV, picture quality, and light transmission.
Upon arrival the scope was packaged well and there were no concerns about travel abuse.
Viewing targets when sighting in was a joy. The zero method on these turrets is a bit different than the tactical/target scopes I am more accustomed to, but was able to figure it out quickly with the help of the use...

Compared this scope with a top end Steiner and Leica that my son owns. Viewed target at 400 yds. Against treerow at dark. This scope gathered light as good if not bett than the Steiner or Leica at double the price. Purchased another for cousin and am trying to find another for a member of our hunting party. This scope should have parallax adjustment to make it truly the best. I'm told that this scope is not sold in the USA. anymore as it competes with parent company models. It is far brighter than leupold,Burris, bushnell as I have top end models of all those brands . Best hunting scope I have used in 55 years of hunting. Will be transferring it to a 243ai for nighttime coyote calling here in minn.

Kahles is first quality in every measure. I own Nightforce scopes as well but when it comes to low light hunting, Kahles has them all beat. Price is high but worth it if you can afford it.
I was first exposed to Kahles in Europe (Germany) when I got my German hunting license. Wild Boar in the early hours or late evening were easy targets for a Kahles.
If possible, compare one in a low light outdoors environment and you will agree!
Pros:
Low light performance is excellent
Cons:
cost-but worth it
Best Used for:
Hunting related
