I already have the aluminium base camp kit. So, no surprises in the component make up or how the rocket stove effect works. However, I am a big stainless guy. The components are well made and first class. Love the way this thing works in less-than-ideal weather. And with the rocket stove concept heats water very quickly and efficiently. It is not my fastest way to make coffee/ tea water. But way faster than say an alcohol burner. For a biofuel type setup it is one of the best. In fact, I think it would function well in any extreme conditions. I get that it would not be convenient for backpackers. I Would recommend this unit for those who prefer to use wood instead of carrying a gas can or bag of charcoal. Or in cases like my own, prefer to have many different options to fit different situations.
