Best duty boot I've owned

by RLTW, from AZ, United States Written on March 27, 2021
Boots are a tool, some people that wear boot are also tools, especially when they proceed their username by the word Tactical. 2.8 mm full grain leather boots tend to be heavy, that's simple math. These are not cheap Asian made disposable junk. I have many pair of high-quality Footwear, from Danner (6 pair) Scarpa Solomon Red Wing Ecco you get the picture. These Kenetrek's stand Above the Rest in all aspects. They are stiff thick heavy boots that will hold up to the test of time and they're very comfortable. PS, I'm not a tactical douchebag, I just live in the boots that I wear and these boots are amazing.
Pros:
  • Quality Comfort durability performance
Cons:
  • None
Best Used for:
  • Crushing Souls of misguided people

Kenetrek Hard Tactical Boots

by Tactical Tim, from GA, United States Written on September 30, 2020
Quality boots and footwear are like tools. They are designed to meet the needs of those who require special equipment to get the job done. These boots fell short of that goal for me. These boots are high quality and well made. But comfort is another issue over the long days. The metal eyelets are horribly irritating on the tops of the feet over time and as you struggle to maintain a secure and snug lacing. You will feel the metal digging in. No matter the thickness of socks . The foot bed is corse and textured. Over time this has the subtle effect of rubbing the bottoms of your feet over sand stone or a pumice stone. It would require an additional type of comfort based insert to make up for it which at over $300.00 just doesn't add up for me. Additionally, these boots are heavy. Over time this will slow you down and eventually become tiresome. Not any part of a tactical plan. At the end of the day, I wound up sacking these away after about a year. I moved on to better made options and for me pairs that don't create any of the issues the Kenetreks have. If you're just a boot junkie who wants a nice addition to his or her collection and have a cool 400.00 to spare then sure.(Show off bonus included). I gave 3 stars out of 5 due to lack of comfort level retention over long periods of time compared to p...
