I've searched for 'the perfect' boot for over 40 years. It doesn't exist. You have to specialize the boot to the task. 'One size fits all' does not work, although a general purpose boot can be found. These are the first pair of Kenetrek boots I have owned. There is a distinct difference. First off, they are easier to put on and take off for me. That is no small thing as I sometimes struggle to get my boots off & on. Secondly, although I am in the process of breaking them in, they were very comfortable from the very start. I'm using an inclined treadmill, an elliptical trainer, and a st...

I looked high and low around me to try these on because they're so expensive and reviews are love or hate. Well I love mine they are very comfortable right out of the box. They are stiff so I would break them in before going on a long hike. They're definitely worth the money!

These are the most expensive hunting boots I have ever purchased but after receiving them I could see the value. They are well built and though most reviews stated that they are very stiff and uncomfortable prior to breaking in I have found them to be fairly comfortable and true to size. I have around 20 miles on them so far just walking in the woods and trails in my neighborhood. I have sealed the leather with kenetrek wax, it seems to be very similar to sno seal. The heel slip is something that many people wrote about but so far the heel slip is minimal, not enough to cause blisters or hot spots. I have not taken them on any hike more than 7 miles so far but intend to take them to Colorado over the weekend and will see at that point if they are as good as they seem to be. I debated between this and the Crispi Nevada boot but I believe that I made the right choice for my foot. I have a normal width foot which has a fair arch. I will report back if I find this to be anything than what I have mentioned in the review. Also, The insulation is good in this boot and does not feel bulky in any way. They fit seems very similar to a Danner boot which I have worn in the past.
Pros:
As mentioned in my review
Cons:
None
Best Used for:
hunting

I’ve owned many brands of boots but these are hands down the BEST I’ve ever owned! About to order the unisulated version. I wear them everyday in the construction industry. They are not only comfortable but have so far been 100 water proof as well!

I have the uninsulated boots and recently bought the 400 gram boots. I have large narrow feet so these boots are great. They are a little tough to break in - tend to be stiff and rub your heels. Once they are broken in they are pretty darn tough. They have been waterproof so far. In large sizes the boots feel like they run about a half size large. They are spendy, but I guess I wouldn't have bought two pair if I didn't like them
Pros:
Tough. Good fit
Cons:
Tough to break in
Best Used for:
Tough hunting

Just bought my Kenetrek boots and they feel great. Very stiff out of the box so you need to break them in. Plan on putting as much mileage as I can before hunting season. I also had to purchase some good socks to go along with these boots. Want to be as comfortable as possible for long hikes in the mountains.
Pros:
Well made-sturdy construction
Cons:
None
