A Customer's Review of Kinetic Development Group Kinect Universal 45 Offset Mount

This mount is a great addition to an arsenal where lights get swapped out regularly. It fits the streamlight rm1 and rm2 as well as the x300 platforms. A note for streamlight users... there will be a small gap between the light mount and the picatinny section. It can be fixed a few different ways with a file or a spacer. For the x300, it was a perfect fit and that is what I was going for. The mount also fits a lot of different mlok rails. However, some PSA and Midwest handguards are too thick for the locking mechanism to work. I have confirmed that the timber creek enforcer, break arms, always armed, newer righttobear, aero m4e1, and the uintah precision handguards are compatible. Only 1 PSA handguard that I tried worked and it was the older lightweight one they had maybe 9 years ago. So after rearranging the light situation, I have a nice light on this mount to quickly swap between compatible builds. Overall, I am happy but just wish there was an adjustment that could've been made since I was hoping for the PSA handguards to work with this.
Pros:
  • Fits x300 perfectly
Cons:
  • Streamlight may need mods to fit
  • Doesn't fit all handguards
Best Used for:
  • Sharing an expensive light between compatible handguards
