Superb Scar Upgrade

Added the 4.25 inch MREX to my Scar 17 and it's the perfect fit. It's the right amount of additional rail space without being too front-heavy. Installation was a lot easier than I thought it would be. One thing to keep in mind is that there is a mounting screw on the underside of the rail that limits the placement of under barrel attachments. This is a SCAR flaw, not a flaw with this rail system. Overall the Mrex provides a sleek and modular rail system that significantly increases overall rail space compared to the factory picatiny rails on the Scar 17. I have long been a proponent of keeping icon firearms like the SCAR in their original form. However, I went out on a limb to give the Mrex a try and I am completely sold.

Fantastic rail for the SCAR 17. I’ve always loved my SCAR, but the platform doesn’t offer much in the way of accessory mounting options. This rail really opens up the rifle to a lot of different configurations. Plus, it looks awesome and it’s extremely lightweight.

Adds a lil weight and a TON of useable space

Installation isn’t overly complicated (definitely need a heat gun!) and the SCAR now looks and feels better than stock, they should be like this from the factory. Instant upgrade to MLOK and the ability for a far forward hold makes the rifle more comfortable and stable. Feels solid and very well made, the fit is EXACT! Pricey but worth it in my eyes to modernize the platform in looks and usability.

PACKAGING ISSUES

Handguard arrived with screws, no lock tight, no instructions the bigger issue is the giant optics planet sign on the outside of the box. Box arrived had been clearing torn open not damaged during shipping and the tape that closes the handguard box had the tape that keeps the box closed was neatly cut. Had this been an expensive item I am not sure it would have ever made it. Discrete packaging needed just my opinion. Thanks

Great additon to the SCAR

Purchased 2 of these bad boys. One for my SCAR 16 and one for the 17 and I am very happy that I did so. The quad rail of the SCAR is ugly, uncomfortable, and quite frankly obsolete. This rail extension is very ascetically pleasing and functional. Additional real estate for accessories is appreciated but I like it for the fact that it provides a better/more comfortable C-clamp while operating. Install was easy courtesy of a couple of YouTube videos and took me a little over 20 minutes on the first one, 15 minutes on the second. This is an upgrade that is well worth the price, it’s just frustrating that such an expensive rifle requires it.

Scar Mrex Mark II M-LOK Handguard

Great product for extending your rail. Looks nice and is well made. Item light weight and takes about 20ish minutes to install only with the tools included. Instructions don’t address an internal barrel bridge in the receiver. I needed to contact the manufacturer to ask about the item. I didn’t end up needed it but it would have been nice to know that from the installation instructions. Overall good product.

Great product. Easy to install with the correct tools. Plenty of videos on YouTube. This product opens up a lot of room on the scar barrel. Much more real estate for more lights/lasers. I am a fan and hopefully will purchase another for my future scar 16.

love this handgaurd

Best hang guard for the scar out there. A bit difficult to install. I had to get a blow torch for the lock on the scar barrel. How ever it was completely worth it. Looks amazing and feels better. Finally no more crappy rails on the side.
