In the beginning I do 10 click increments to figure out where the piston needs to be to be barely ejecting cases then I dial up 5 more to make it slightly overgassed for reliability sake.
When cleaning it’s easy to mess up so I usually write down my clicks on a note pad and reset to that point after cleaning.
It’s attractive to dial down right above the FTE point but I’d suggest not doing so, since it’s already quite a lot reduction on original recoil. Keep the piston slightly overgassed for reliability.
