I ordered this for my Galil Ace 7.62x39 rifle. Since the piston for the Ace is held with a roll pin, it was easy to remove the factory piston and replace it with the KNS piston. KNS Gas Piston for AK47
The KNS piston is an excellent product I recommend for every AK variant owner. The install was easy with a hand drill, punch and hammer. My Chinese Mac 90 variant was so overgassed with a suppressor it was malfunctioning. It was very simple to tune it and now it runs perfectly.

Well-made and functions as advertised
I have an over-gassed Galil that was destroying brass and folding the tip of the ejector. I wish I had known about the KNS piston sooner, as it immediately corrected that rifle's issue with over-gassing. It's a bit pricey, but it's cheaper than swapping a barrel and drilling an undersize gas port.

Does precisely what I needed it to
Optics Planet is the best place to purchase these items. You always get a good deal, I got free shipping, which is always the best, and they ship fast. Most other really good companies offer decent prices, but you're waiting weeks before it even ships. I got this fast.
Once received, I immediately swapped the piston out with my old one, put it back in the gun, brought it to the range, and it didn't take long to tune it just right to where my shots cycled properly, but the recoil and the gas to the face from my suppressor was minimal. My buddy, the RSO on staff at the time, also noticed how consistent my ejection pattern was. Definitely needed in my full sized Draco build.

Awesome addition
Basically I had a romanian AK that was monstrous overgassed. Not like normal all aks are overgassed... this thing threw spent brass into the next county and recoiled enough to bruise a seasoned AK shooter. Only issue i had installing was my AKs fault. Pin didn't wanna come out. As far as operation. Would be REAL good is this company included instructions on how to properly tune the thing once installed. Since they dont... here we go.... install on gun and put back together with piston fully closed. Shoot 3 rounds and then Open up by 5 clicks until it doesn't run reliably. Once it fails... open click by click with 2 or 3 shots testing. Once it runs reliably and ejects at least 6 feet away (probably 10ft) leave it there assemble your rifle and enjoy.

Zastava m92 suppressor
Arrived on time.Best price found anywhere, plus free shipping! Installed in five minutes. Now the fun part, getting it to run. Trial and error, and go for it. All other reviews say it works, just got to find sweet spot!

KNS Precision Adjustable Gas Piston System
Great piston. Does exactly what it says it does. All metal construction and solid. Installation to screw it in and tap the roll pin in, took all but 1 min. It’s the removal of the old piston and thread clean up that is the pain and time consuming part. My WASR piston was welded on. Anyway set up is easy. Just follow some YT videos which 30 clicks open is around the magic number. Mine cycled just fine at 33 clicks open. I settled on 32 for the sake of reliable cycling. My casing now land about 5 feet away as opposed to 20-30 feet away. Great mod for any AK that is over gassed or if you run suppressed.

Tunable gas adds that much more superiority to any AK.

Perfect way to fix my Draco
My Draco had pretty obnoxious trigger slap once I attached my suppressor on to it. This gas piston turned my Draco into something amazing. Highly recommend

Amazing Addition to my AK
I installed the small-bore KNS piston on my Meridian Defense Pestilence, and it's a must-have for suppressed shooting. Combined with the Dead Air Wolverine, the cycling is now perfect. Cycles everything and reduces the recoil and gas to the face from the stock piston. Ensure you measure to get the right piston, but it's well worth it!!!
